Dr. Kate Swan
Dr Kate Swan is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy in the Evelina London Children’s Hospital Allergy Department at St Thomas’ Hospital, London. She completed her paediatric training in London having read pre-clinical medicine at Cambridge University and undergoing clinical training at Oxford University. She has worked in the Paediatric Allergy Department at St Thomas’ since 2011 when she was the inaugural King’s College Allergy Academy Education Fellow before completing her allergy subspecialty training. During this time she completed her Allergy MSc at Imperial College, London with her thesis investigating the influence of exercise on skin reactivity in atopic children. She is a sub-investigator in many of the research studies that are ongoing at the Evelina London Children’s Allergy Department. Dr Swan has a strong interest in advancing paediatric allergy education and she is the Education Lead in the allergy department at St Thomas’, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She also oversees the adolescent allergy transition service at St Thomas’ Hospital.
